The Île-de-France context
At the end of September 2026, 11.2% of office space in Île-de-France was vacant, compared with 10.5% a year earlier; immediately available supply reached 6.59 million m², and take-up over nine months fell by 14% to 1.05 million m² (Cushman & Wakefield, Immostat, 6 October 2026).
In 2024, 32% of employees in Île-de-France worked remotely at least one day a week, compared with 18% in France; the proportion reached 62% among managers and professionals (cadres) in the region (Insee, February 2026). With remote working almost twice as widespread there as nationally, office attendance can vary sharply from one day to the next: this is a hypothesis to be checked, organisation by organisation, through an attendance survey.
Thinking area by area
For a head office, a branch or a network of sites, we take into account the local market, transport access, where the teams live, recruitment, and the cost and availability of space. A “head office plus local sites” model may suit one organisation but not another.
